New for 2006, the SIAscope V uniquely brings together Astron Clinica’s skin imaging technology, SIAscopy, with high-resolution video dermoscopy.

Skin specialists can use live, full colour video dermoscopy to preview and position the handset for immediate visual assessment up to 2mm underneath the skin. SIAscope V gives instant dermatoscopic images.

The superior dermatoscopic view is enabled by the latest technology in digital imaging and optics. The SIAscope V provides high resolution images of even the smallest skin features and blemishes, without the need for digital enhancement.

SIAscope V uses contact SIAscopy to produce SIAscans: digital maps of haemoglobin, melanin, collagen and dermal melanin up to 2mm beneath the skin. High resolution SIAscans enable the skin care specialist to visualise the skin’s structure, vascular composition and reticular pigment networks in unrivalled detail and clarity.

SIAscope V uses standard USB 2.0 connection and can quickly and easily be connected to any PC running the DERMETRICS platform. Just plug-in and scan.
